These Are Not Typical Word Search Puzzles

These are more challenging because they cover more than one object! Students have to both find the word in the puzzle and decide which object it belongs to. They demonstrate their knowledge by circling the word in the designated color for each object in that puzzle. It’s really cool. Please read the directions with students for the first few puzzles, and do the first one with them to be sure they understand how to color-code their answers.

Materials: The Illustrated Dictionary and crayons or colored pencils.
